The MiniPlug inlet socket on the MiniPlug inlet cable must be located in a position which will allow the MiniPlug power connector to be inserted without difficulty. The DEFA power socket may be recessed into the bodywork and fastened with the nut or fitted externally by the use of bracket.
Normally, the MiniPlug socket should be fitted with the lid hinge at the top, but it may also be fitted with the hinge on the right or left hand side. For preference, the MiniPlug socket should be fitted so that the front section faces downwards at a slight angle to drain out water or moisture from the MiniPlug socket. If you are using the bracket you can fit the adapter to obtain the same effect.
